Why Us
Why Choose CAR?
It is not separation that harms children, but the conflict they witness between parents, and the hiatus in contact that can occur.
Supervised contact with our specialist workers can alleviate some of the distress felt by a child following separation from one of their parents.
Our services function to minimise conflict and create a climate in which non-resident parents can maintain a relationship with their child, when parental relationships are challenging, and access is denied.
Divorce and separation court proceedings can be protracted and expensive. We can provide court reports of a high quality that will be completed in a timely manner, ensuring minimal delays.
We can also support child contact beyond proceedings, in accordance with final orders.

Testimonials
We are fortunate to have had some fantastic clients over the years who have left us some wonderful feedback
“Where do I start? I do not have the words to describe what CAR’s services have meant to my family and I. The service is second to none and brought us together with our children, who we hadn’t seen for 2 years.
Throughout CAR remained professional, as well as being kind and considerate, keeping in mind the welfare of the children at all times. The team are outstanding and provided us with a very positive experience.
Very professional made an awkward situation easy for all parties.
Thank you to Elaine. I knew my children were comfortable, well looked after and safe. She managed to juggle the complex situation and I would recommend her to anyone.”

“CAR has been instructed in a number of complex and difficult children cases in which I have been involved. There input in each case has been invaluable to the parents, the children and the court. CAR is unwaveringly professional, child focussed and unbiased. Judges are always happy to have CAR involved in intractable cases because he makes the progress which often seems unattainable at the outset. I would not hesitate to recommend their services as a mediator, contact supervisor and Independent Social Worker.”

“After around 18 months of contact denial, the thought of meeting my 3 children again, after such a long period, in a contact centre with other parents in an unfamiliar environment filled me with dread. CAR’s service offered the same service but in the comfort and privacy of my own home.
Meetings were very child focused. Many non-resident parents have to go through this painful drawn-out process for many different good and bad reasons, CAR’s services made this process a lot less painful and more human. I cannot recommend his services highly enough. I have recommended Howard repeatedly to people who are in a similar situation to myself.”

“The overall service was outstanding. A lot of upfront effort was expended to understand the family challenges. This involved speaking to both sets of parents and the ISW was able to independently support with planning and moving the contact forward.
Communication was strong and timely throughout. Handovers were first class – child focused and handled professionally despite being challenging due to the other parent being reticent to engage. Although staff were there to perform an oversight role, at no point did this feel overpowering or overwhelming. The ISW was very approachable and supportive.
The reports written and used as evidence in court were of a high quality – observations accurate, clearly articulated with key messaging, peer reviewed and issued within reasonable timeframes. There was one instance where a report needed to be expedited due to the court timetable which was accommodated. The ISW hugely efficient, organised and with excellent time management.
Contact was made with me after confirming supervision was now deemed unnecessary by the court. This was not only a professional touch to conclude the contact arrangements, but it was also child focused with the offer of advice should the child ask where the ISW was. I am extremely grateful for the role Child Resolution Arrangements played in helping me gain access to my child”
